lynxr get started

deleting your data

this page tells you how to delete what lynxr holds about you, and what goes when you do. it sits alongside the privacy policy, which describes what is collected in the first place.

you never have to ask us. everything below you can do yourself, from inside the app, and it takes effect immediately. the email route exists only for people who cannot sign in.

disconnecting an instagram or tiktok account

if you connected a platform account so lynxr could read how your videos performed, you can disconnect it at any time: sign in → settings → connected accounts → disconnect.

what happens straight away: we delete the access token for that account, so lynxr can no longer reach the platform on your behalf and stops asking it for anything. we also delete the performance figures we had read from that platform — watch time, completion rate, reach and the rest — and the summary of what lynxr had learned from them.

you can also revoke lynxr from the platform’s own settings, which has the same effect from their side. on Instagram that is under apps and websites in your account settings; on TikTok it is under manage app permissions. if you revoke there and not here, lynxr’s next request fails and we delete the dead token.

disconnecting does not delete your lynxr account, your scripts, or the public view and like counts lynxr had already measured from outside the platform. to remove those, remove the profile or delete the account.

removing a username you added

sign in → settings → your profiles → remove. this deletes that username, every video lynxr had stored from it, all the numbers measured for those videos, and anything derived from them. if that profile was also connected for insights, removing it disconnects it too.

deleting your whole account

sign in → settings → delete account. it is a two-step confirm, there is no waiting period, and it cannot be undone.

what is deleted: your login, your email address, your setup answers and goal, the companies you write for, your saved links, every script you have written and your trash, your usernames and the videos and numbers stored against them, any connected-platform tokens and the insights read with them, and everything lynxr had learned about how you write.

what is not: feedback you sent us stays, with your name detached from it. invoices and payment records stay for as long as tax law requires — those are held by Stripe, our merchant of record. our library of publicly posted videos is keyed by video link and holds no account of yours, so there is nothing of yours in it to remove. backups roll off within 30 days.

if you are paying: cancel first. the app will not delete an account with a subscription still set to renew, because that would lose our record of it while the card kept being charged. cancel, then delete — see the refund policy.

if you cannot sign in

email hello@lynxr.io from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. we will confirm it is yours, delete it, and tell you when it is done — within 30 days, and in practice within a few days. we do not charge for this and we do not ask why.

the same address works for any other request under your rights: a copy of your data, a correction, or removal from our library of public videos.
